Social Share

One of the most famous and atmospheric ruin temple in Angkor, the Ta Prohm is known for the huge trees and the massive roots growing out of its walls, their leaves filtering the sunlight and casting a greenish pall over the whole scene by creating an astonishing merger of nature and architecture. The jungle temple also featured in the adventure movie “The tomb raider”; several shots were filmed in the Ta Prohm.

A visit to Ta Prohm really gives you the feeling of discovering something hidden and truly ancient. A visit to Ta Prohm is unique, other-worldly experience. There is a poetic circle to this vulnerable ruin with humanity first conquering nature to rapidly create, and nature once again conquering the humanity to slowly destroy.
