The diving season runs from November to April. Novices can opt for a day-long Discover Scuba taster (US$50 to US$85) or a longer PADI open water dive course (from US$375). The best local dives are to the wrecks of the Conch, a well-preserved 19th-century steam-powered tanker, and The Earl of Shaftesbury, an 1892 four-masted sail boat. There are half-a-dozen dive schools, including Poseidon Diving Station, which also has a restaurant and accommodation for divers. A two-tank dive costs US$75.
