Meemure, a popular tourist destination located close to Udadumbara which was locked down in March due to the Covid-19 pandemic, has re-opened recently.
The cabana owners of the area said that their village is safe for any visitors and they can provide accommodation for them too, but they request local and foreign tourists to follow the required health guidelines and also request tourists to visit their village in small groups.
The cabana owners of Meemure which is an isolated village in the Central Province, located 324m above sea level and hidden amongst the mountains went on lock down on March 20, as required by the government.However, as the situation has been controlled by the government, the cabana owners have decided to resume operations.
